My favorite board ever!!!! So fun and easy to ride is my favore forever, next time I'll try to get the gi.balgod edition just becuas probably is stiffer for the speed.
It rips but isn’t the best on hard pack and icy conditions but soft cruisers or smashing powder this is it!
This board is super fun for a good pow day. The high nose takes a lot of the work out of staying afloat and helps me get more laps in a day. Looking forward to some spring slush with this thing!
Is this it? Has science gone this far? It's warm, cuts wind, keeps you dry, and looks stellar. Price is a bit steep, but the quality is worth it. Love the zippered pockets.
What's not to love? True twin underfoot, wide waist, plenty of pop, responsive, and looks clean.
This is a do everything board, but it isn't a quiver killer. If you view the mountain as a massive jib, this is the board that will take you where you want to go. Don't think too much. Mind off, enjoy the party wave.
I've been snowboarding for 31 years. I feel like I'm a kid again on this board! I'm an advanced female rider on the east coast. This board is AMAZING. It's just so light and easy to turn. I brought it through steeps, trees, the park, and moguls. It was just amazing. I even called in sick to work today so I could go ride it again. I haven't tried it on solid crazy ice yet but I don't think that will be a problem. I haven't been this excited about a new snowboard since 1994.
I'm 5'6 125lbs and I'm riding the 148.
Bought it as a gift but I’m very impressed by the quality .
Almost wanted to keep it … but I normally don’t use a sleeve.
Seeing the quality I ordered 2 more 👌
Lightyears back I had a pair off B’’s SL boots , one off the first with an articulating cuff. The years after, rinding serveral brands, I never found a comparable boot ….. until now.
Trying to put them on in the shop was a nightmare, but on feet the felt better and better. Normally I would have asked half a size larger, the shop advised it, but somehow I knew that the super thight fitting was the better choice. ….
The first day on snow my feet where hurting a little bit, normal by breaking inn the liners. But from day 2 till now there getting better and better …. super comfortable.
On feet the boot feels a bit more flexible, but once strapped in (Astro FW) they really stiffen up.. Stiff enough for carving but surprisingly surfy/forgiving in powder,. So I found my new favorite shoe, thank you Bataleon!!
Only downside siide, is putting them on, that’s not easy and it takes some time. But the reward is huge, you don’t want to take them off anymore.
Great people to deal with
The 3D tech gives me so much confidence to push my limits. The board looks fantastic and performs fantastic.
A perfect lightweight and non bulky Sleeve to protect your board while traveling and to store it for the summer months. Fits my board perfectly and is easy to put on.
Must have to protect your edges fits snug on a 165 wide. Wish i had had before my travel bag ripped from baggage handlers
Everything I want it to be and The Wallie arrived just as fast as my Disaster did! About 3 days!
I love your company. My experience with buying new snowboards is great. Customer support in case of an issue is on another level. I got a new board, it arrived in a few days, nicely packed. It is actually my 3rd Bataleon board and my 2nd Ewil Twin (my favourite so far)
Great product. It’s my first snowboard gear and I enjoyed my new bindings from Bataleon.
This board is something every snowboard should strive to be... it can become almost anything you want it to be due to its versatile ride. It rides so smooth, switch is effortless and somehow feels very twinish when doing freestyle, shittts on powder, board has amazing drive when you lock the knee and push from the tail, carves very good which is surprising for how soft the board is.
The flex on this board is for sure softer than a 6, its honestly close to my evil twin. The design of this board is something else though. Where the carbon is put in the board, it really helps keep the board stable in specific areas yet the board is so playful, tbh all bataleon boards are very freestyle oriented but duuuuude this board feels crazy.
bataleon... idk how you did it. Youve managed to make a board that encapsulates freestyle and freeride so perfectly. The biggest difference between this and a symmetrical twin, this handles pow and backcountry like a champ.
If you're looking for a stiff board try something else like the beyond medals but if you want a good medium flex board that makes everything fun, buy this.
Baught my Beyon Medals 4 weeks ago. Nice riding but board is easy to damage compare to other brands. Contacted Customer Service and they replied it was usual wear and tear. I don’t consider wear and tear when you are basically not moving and your board get damaged.
Personally it was my last Bataleon. Will continue to buy other brands from now on. My kids have other brands, they ride park, are a lot more hard on their boards ant theirs are less damaged!!!
The size small is a small fit for a 147cm board. Too bad I had to stretch it all the way to close. Even though it says that it fits 143-150. Would want to return it but it will take some time.
Super nice quality, stretchy material makes it very comfy and soft. Runs slightly large. I usually wear L a bit baggy, but I got the M and it feels just nice, not tight at all.
I've had 4 boards and never a wide and never a bataleon, I went for the 161w as per the soze chart and tbh it goes for edge to edge better than any non wide board I've ever ridden. Flex is there in the tip and tail but firm in between your feet. Huge amounts of effortless pop, easy to spin and can charge hard when you need to. Edge hold on ice was excellent despite some concerns re 3bt etc. If you are looking for that 1 board that does it all, u should seriously consider this board.
I scooped the 138 Wallie to desperately get back my beloved 148 Disaster from my 13yr old(growth spurting) son. I'm 51yrs old, 61kg, 165cm. I test rode the Wallie/Etna setup in the am before handing it to my son in the pm. I was expecting it to be squirrelly at speed, occasional washed carves, squishy landings and considerable time to acclimate to a short and very light weighted board. All my concerns were shattered.
My 19yr old nephew came inquiring on what I had at my feet. He was astonished with how fast, aggressive yet playfully dynamic my riding was and how is it accomplished on such a short board. Even in fresh 20cm pow it floated and handled gracefully responsive in the powdered glades. On the corduroy, edge to edge transitions were seamless. In the park it was just simply rad. Any and all features were cleanly entered and stomped.
The Etna binders installed rapidly and without fuss. Any adjustments were intuitive and carefree.
Asthetically, the all purple Etna binders sitting on the Wallie blacktop with red, bleu, yellow dots surprisingly delivered an appeasingly minimalistic colourful combo.
Dear Bataleon, you have once again filled my heart with gratitude and further secured my undivided allegiance.
Recently picked up a set of Astro asyms, been using them on a mega merc and they match pretty perfectly tbh! Very responsive but still damp for the chop! Definitely would recommend to anyone with older knees for sure!
This thing keeps your board in pristine shape anywhere you go. I LOVE IT!!
